Stephanie Haverstock, President
Stephanie Haverstock is a Program Director at Trinity Services. She leads several vocational programs that emphasize community employment.
Stephanie has worked in the field of Mental Health for the past 9 years and has a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling.
She also practices as a therapist on a part-time basis and services couples, families, children, and individuals. Stephanie serves on the IRA Board of Directors and
is a board member of IRA's Job Placement Division. Stephanie is a National Board Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois.

Kristin Murphy, President-Elect/Membership Chair
Kristin is the past President of the Northern chapter of IRA, and is a Counselor in the Elgin Office of DRS. She has a Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, is a CRC, and has many years experience in rehabilitation in both the public and private sector. She is a long-term NRA/IRA member, has been actively involved in the planning and coordination of State and Chapter conferences, and is IRA Membership Chair.

Linda Ferguson, Treasurer/Publications Editor
Linda is beginning her third term as IRA Treasurer, and has been able to streamline and upgrade the functions of this position. Her accuracy and attention to detail have served her well in carrying out the duties of Treasurer, and she is seeking to continue to improve the quality of the IRA financial documents. Linda is a long-term, active member of the Central Chapter, and has contributed to the success of both State and local conferences and training events.

Jan is a Past President of IRA, past President of the IL Job Placement Division, and current Treasurer of NRA’s Great Lakes Division. She is a 12-year member of NRA/IRA, and is currently employed as a DRS Transition Advisor, serving Northern and Central Illinois since 1990. She is a retired school board member, a member of the Peru Lions Club, and a member of the North Central Illinois Youth Council.

Claire Smith, Past President
Claire Smith works for the IL Department of Human Services/Division of Rehabilitation Services as a Transition Advisor serving Southern Illinois. She has worked for the agency since 1988. In addition to the Advisor position, she has been a Rehabilitation Counselor and Marketing and Employment Specialist. Claire has also worked in universities and community rehabilitation facilities. Since joining the Illinois Rehabilitation Association in 1994, she has served as State Board President and Secretary as well as Southern Chapter President and Member-at Large. She has also co-chaired two Statewide conferences.

Tom Gollan, 1st year of term
Tom is a Past President of IRA, and currently the Northern Chapter Treasurer, and has served the IRA Board and the Northern Chapter in various capacities for the past eight years. He has a Masters Degree in Counseling from NIU, and is a certified Case Manger for persons with brain injuries. Tom retired as Supervisor of the Elgin DRS office, and is currently a Counselor/Case Manager for persons with brain injuries for the Family Service and Community Mental Health Center of McHenry County.

Jenny Niebrugge, 1st year of term
Jenny is Vocational Director for United Cerebral Palsy, Land of Lincoln, in Springfield, where she has assisted persons with disabilities for the past seven years. She is a current IRA Board member, and is serving a second term on the Board. She is an eight year member of the Springfield Transition Planning Committee, and is currently an active member of the Central Chapter.

Patricia Shafer, 1st year of term
Patty Shafer is a Rehabilitation Counselor in the Springfield-Walnut Street office of DHS/DRS. Before joining DRS, Patty worked many years at the Bureau of Disability Determination as Adjudicator, Supervisor and Trainer. She has been involved with IRA since 2001, serving as a Board Member of Central Chapter, and now looks forward to becoming involved at the State level. Patty has an MS in Rehabilitation from UIUC.
